  1. Brand Portal

Orders

While DSTNC works with numerous e-commerce platforms and allows orders to be synced directly, it also offers a Brand Portal for those vendors that do not use a supported platform.

Overview

The primary use of the Brand Portal is for the brand to view and keep track of orders coming in. Brands connected to e-commerce platforms that we do not offer full order automation for (e.g., SquareSpace) need to use the portal to manage their orders. A list of all orders can be found under the Orders tab, as shown below.

This list shows all orders chronologically, starting from the latest order. You can select orders from the list and view their labels and tracking details by clicking on the respective buttons on the left side. You can also filter the list by the status of shipments, cancelations, and returns.

Orders that have already been shipped showcase the tracking number in green. This way, it is easy to understand how many orders are yet to be shipped while going through the list.

Order details

To access more information about a specific order, simply select the order from the Orders list. This will give you details about the shipment, including the address and a brief summary of the order.

After an order is complete, you can view the labels and packing slips from the Shipments tab of the order.

Similarly, you can track the package by clicking on the three dots, also under Shipments.

Fulfill orders

After a customer places an order on DSTNC, you need to prepare and deliver the items in it. This process is referred to as order fulfillment.

The fulfillment process usually includes the following:

  • picking and packaging products in an envelope or box

  • labeling the order for shipment

  • shipping the package with a mail carrier

Manually fulfill order

Steps:

  1. Click the order number of an unfulfilled order

  2. Click the 'Shipments' tab.

  3. If you're using DSTNC's Shipping to generate a shipping label for your order, then select Download Label.

  4. If you're using your own carrier, then click on the 'Summary' tab, select the 'Tracking company,' ie: DHL, and enter the tracking number. You don't need to enter any additional detail, as this will be populated automatically by the system.

Fulfill part of an order manually

Steps:

  1. Click the order number of an unfulfilled order

  2. From the 'Summary' tab, click on 'Edit quantities', and select the items to be fulfilled.

  3. Click on 'Enter tracking', enter the tracking number, and select the 'Tracking company,' ie: DHL. You don't need to enter any additional detail, as this will be populated automatically by the system.

Fulfill multiple orders at the same time

To import tracking details and mark multiple orders as shipped at once, prepare a CSV file with the specified columns.

  1. 'reference': This is the order reference. It should correspond exactly with your own order identifiers. For example, '10001-01'.

  2. 'tracking_company': Enter the name of the carrier.

  3. 'tracking_number': Provide the tracking number associated with the shipment.

Sorting unfulfilled orders

You can view and sort the orders that you need to fulfill, using the 'Not shipped' filter on the Orders tab of your Brand Portal.

Cancel an order

Canceling an order means that you're stopping an order that's in process. For example, if a customer requests cancellation or if an item was ordered and isn't available, then you can cancel the order to help prevent staff or fulfillment services from continuing work on the order.

From your Brand Portal dashboard, go to .

You can fulfill part of an order manually by fulfilling some line items. This is also called . To make the manual fulfillment process faster, .
